Already now, industrial robotics has become a cornerstone in manufacturing industries. This trend must be maintained, strengthened and enlarged to all main industries in the world. Automation is a central competitive factor for traditional groups, but is also becoming increasingly important for small and medium-sized enterprises around the world. Robotics technology also has an impact on a broad range of end user markets and applications. In addition to manufacturing, important future application domains for robots, with high impact on everyday life, will include healthcare, agriculture, civil, commercial or consumer sectors, logistics and transport.
The aim of this topic is to pursue research and development (R&D) activities between European and Russian research institutions to promote a strong cooperative interactions, based on KET – Key enabling technologies (ICT, advanced manufacturing technologies, etc.) and to develop new robotics related solutions including industrial robotic technology for processing easily deformable parts and products without its precision and rigid fixation in the working area of manipulators, intelligent cracking process control technology and in a smart environment context including the provision of healthcare, agriculture, and education.
